LVN Restaurant is the new dining experience at Bird in Hand. The culmination of Bird in Hand’s dedication to art, design, excellence in cuisine and fine wine.
The spirited daughter of Bird in Hand founders, Andrew and Susie Nugent, inspired the name of the newly reimagined restaurant at the Woodside estate. LVN – the initials of Lalla Victoria Nugent – is also the name given to the winemakers’ prestigious pinnacle cuvée, due for release in 2027.

Jacob grew up in Adelaide, South Australia, and worked across the country and in Europe to hone his culinary skills.
Most recently the head chef of three-hatted Restaurant Botanic in Adelaide, Jacob has now joined the Bird in Hand team, tasked with leading the direction of LVN Restaurant at Bird in Hand.
“I’m inspired by the farmers, the producers, the fishers and the seasons and micro seasons of the hills and our kitchen garden. My aim is to weave all of this together to create a world class experience.”
Cancellations: In our commitment to delivering an elevated level of service, meticulous preparation is integral to ensuring a memorable experience for all our guests. This dedication is essential for each booking, and cancellations or no-shows pose significant challenges in achieving this objective. Consequently, we have implemented the following cancellation policy: In the event of any cancellation or reduction in numbers within 48 hours prior to the booking, regrettably, the $100pp deposit is non-refundable.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we are always accommodating when changes are communicated in advance. Your cooperation in keeping us informed of any adjustments is greatly appreciated.
Deposit: To secure your table, we kindly request a $100 per person deposit.
Dietary Requirements/Allergies: It is imperative that all dietary requirements and allergies be communicated at the time of booking. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any food dislikes or dietary requests on the day of your reservation. Due to the nature of our menu, we are unable to cater to a those with a vegan diet or those with egg allergies.
While prioritizing guest satisfaction, modifications based on food dislikes are not possible due to the nature of our tasting menu.
Booking size: The largest reservation that we can facilitate is a table of 6 guests, except in the case a private event.
Children: The immersive meal can last up to 3.5 hours, making it unsuitable for children under 8. We do not offer a kid’s menu. All guests including children are required to have the full set menu.
Gift vouchers: We are only able to accept vouchers issued by Bird in hand or LVN. Menu and wine prices are subject to change without notice, and only the amount for which the gift voucher was purchased is redeemable.
Surcharges: A 15% surcharge applies to all bookings on Public Holidays. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hosting you at LVN.
