Bird in Hand
Shiraz 2005
MT LOFTY RANGES / ADELAIDE HILLS
2005 was an outstanding vintage with early season thunderstorms maintaining good soil moisture reserves. Rains in January preceded a dry February, with these warm, dry conditions continuing through Autumn until harvest. Fruit was harvested at full maturity with excellent colour and flavour concentration.
Bird in Hand Shiraz 2005 a fine example of a cool climate Shiraz. The nose is rich with aromas of dark cherry, smoky oak and blackberry. The palate has generous flavours of plum, blackcurrant and cracked black pepper. A fine balance of full textured soft tannins and acidity will ensure that cellaring for up to 10 years will be rewarded.
