Birds and Whey - Udderly Delightful
Thursday 9th September 2010
Adelaide Hills’ icons Bird in Hand Winery and Udder Delights Cheese Cellar have once again joined forces for an exclusive cheese making class on September 9th 2010.
The two family-owned businesses have created the Spring event following the successful sold-out class held in January and May. The class will be conducted by Udder Delights Founder, Sheree Sullivan, on Thursday 9th September in the Gallery at Bird in Hand.
The students will learn the principles of fresh cheese making and taking home the cheese made during the class. The feta can be turned into Camembert and whey into ricotta. The evening will involve extensive cheese tasting, wine & cheese pairings and a relaxed dinner overlooking the picturesque vineyards.
The association between Bird in Hand and Udder Delights spans over ten years when the two companies helped establish the Adelaide Hills Food association.
“The Adelaide Hills is beautiful and excels in food and wine. But what really sets this region apart is that all producers work together with the common goal of creating world class produce. It is a really exciting time for a region that is standing up and having people take notice on the world’s stage” said Hayley Conolly, PR & Events Manager at Bird in Hand.
Tickets for the class are extremely limited, ensuring an intimate experience. This event always sells out early!
Tickets $140 per person including the class, dinner and wine
