Chardonnay 2008
ADELAIDE HILLS
This limited release Adelaide Hills Chardonnay is pale straw with a hint of green in colour.
The wine has been fermented and matured for nine months in a mix of new and old French oak barriques. Partial wild yeast and malo-lactic fermentation techniques, followed by traditional lees stirring, has enhanced the texture and complexity.
Aromas of white peach, grapefruit, nougat and hazelnut are supported by subtle spice from French oak. The palate has ripe stone fruit and toasty oak characteristics with undertones of minerals, melon and citrus.
The resulting wine is elegant yet powerful with great length and layers of sophistication.
